UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Reaffirms Support For Qatar’s Sovereignty In Meeting With Emir Sheikh Tamim
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently visited Qatar, where he met with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar. The discussions focused on the robust relationship between the UAE and Qatar, as well as the impact of a recent Israeli attack on Qatari territory. The meeting was held at the Amiri Diwan in Doha during Sheikh Mohamed's visit.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed unwavering support for Qatar, affirming the UAE's commitment to backing all measures that protect Qatar's sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens. He condemned the attack as a breach of international laws and norms, highlighting its potential threat to regional security and peace prospects.
The UAE President was accompanied by a distinguished delegation. This included H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; and H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of the Interior. Other notable members were H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber.
During their discussions, His Highness praised Sheikh Tamim's efforts in promoting peace and stability within the region. The dialogue underscored both leaders' commitment to fostering stronger bilateral ties amidst regional challenges.
At the end of his visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed departed from Hamad International Airport. He was seen off by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani along with several sheikhs and senior officials, marking a cordial conclusion to his fraternal visit to Qatar.
The meeting highlighted mutual concerns over regional stability while reinforcing solidarity between the two nations. Both leaders reiterated their dedication to maintaining peace and security in light of recent events affecting Qatar.
