UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Welcomes Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Mohammed Hussein
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently welcomed His Excellency Fuad Mohammed Hussein, Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. During the visit, an official invitation was extended from Iraqi President Dr Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid for Sheikh Mohamed to attend the Arab Summit in Baghdad on 17 May.
The discussions between Sheikh Mohamed and the Iraqi Foreign Minister focused on enhancing bilateral relations. Both leaders explored ways to strengthen ties to benefit their nations and citizens. They also addressed various regional and international issues of shared interest, underscoring the need for peace, stability, and cooperation across the region.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed his commitment to deepening UAE-Iraq relations. He conveyed his hopes for Iraq's ongoing stability, development, and prosperity. This sentiment reflects the strong bond between the two countries and their shared vision for a peaceful future.
The meeting saw attendance from several prominent figures. Among them were H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region; and H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs.
Also present were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; Dr Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; along with other sheikhs, ministers, officials, and members of the Iraqi delegation.
This high-level engagement highlights the importance both nations place on their relationship. It also underscores their commitment to addressing mutual concerns through dialogue and cooperation.
