UAE Pavilion Showcases Advanced Defence Solutions At Egypt Defence Expo 2025
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt inaugurated the Egypt Defence Expo 2025 (EDEX 2025), a key event for defence and security industries in the region. The exhibition attracted numerous official and military delegations, alongside major global companies. During his opening tour, President El Sisi visited the UAE Pavilion, organised by ADNEC Group with support from the Tawazun Council for Defence Empowerment and the Ministry of Defence.
The UAE Pavilion featured prominent national companies in defence and security, including EDGE Group, Calidus, GAL, AMMROC, and ADNEC Group. These companies showcased cutting-edge defence solutions and technologies in areas such as operational excellence, aerial and land systems, cyber security, maintenance support, and advanced military manufacturing. This reflects the strong defence cooperation between the UAE and Egypt.

The UAE Pavilion attracted visits from senior leaders and officials from both nations. Notable visitors included Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt; Major General Yousef Mayouf Al Halami, Commander of the Land Forces; Dr. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement; Colonel Khalifa Ahmed Al Hamli, UAE Military Attaché – Egypt; and Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif from the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation – Egypt.
Visitors commended the organisation of the UAE Pavilion and acknowledged the progress in national defence industries. They highlighted the UAE's role in fostering defence innovation and advancing industrial capabilities. The first day also witnessed several memoranda of understanding signed with Egyptian institutions in the defence sector.
AMMROC signed three memoranda with Egyptian entities: one with the Aircraft Factory of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation, another with the Engine Factory and Digital Manufacturing Centre, and a third with Helwan Advanced Industries Factory. Additionally, GAL signed two agreements with the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation.
Abu Dhabi Aviation Group also entered into six memoranda with Egyptian counterparts on day one. These agreements aim to bolster industrial cooperation between both countries by exchanging expertise and supporting joint efforts in military manufacturing and technological development.
The UAE's participation at EDEX 2025 underscores its commitment to expanding strategic partnerships within the region. It aims to enhance its advanced defence industries' presence globally while supporting Egypt's development in defence and security sectors.
