UAE-Pakistan Bilateral Relations Strengthened Through High-Level Talks In Dubai
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met President Asif Ali Zardari at Za’abeel Palace in Dubai, where both leaders discussed UAE-Pakistan bilateral relations, economic cooperation and regional developments, underlining shared interests, long-standing ties and a joint focus on stability, security and sustainable growth that support both governments and their peoples.
The talks highlighted each side’s commitment to stronger strategic cooperation, with particular attention to economic, developmental and security fields. Discussions also covered international issues, where both leaderships stressed support for global stability and practical collaboration to address shared challenges, in line with the UAE’s wider vision of close partnerships with friendly nations.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed that the UAE remained committed to deepening its strategic partnership with Pakistan, building on historic relations between the two countries. The discussions explored new ways to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors, ensuring that joint projects and future initiatives serve the long-term interests of both nations.
The President of Pakistan emphasised the importance of the strategic relationship between Pakistan and the UAE and praised His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s role in advancing bilateral cooperation. President Asif Ali Zardari also commended both sides’ commitment to expanding economic and developmental partnerships that benefit the peoples of the two friendly countries.
The meeting brought together senior members of Dubai’s leadership. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended, alongside H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and several other Sheikhs and officials, reflecting the importance Dubai placed on UAE-Pakistan bilateral relations.
Senior figures from Pakistan also joined the discussions. The delegation included Pakistan's First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Asim Hussain, Shafqat Ali Khan and Brig. Sajid Akbar, underlining high-level engagement on UAE-Pakistan bilateral relations and broader cooperation.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed also met top-performing graduates of the Zayed II Military College and leading graduates from the Dubai Police Academy. His Highness praised their performance, discipline and competence, stressing that investment in national talent strengthens the country’s future, supports defence capabilities, and ensures strong institutions that can also complement long-term UAE-Pakistan bilateral relations.
