UAE President Hosts Kuwaiti Defence Minister During Brothers Forever Week To Strengthen Ties
The UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Minister of Defence of the State of Kuwait, during an official working visit, with discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and highlighting the start of the ‘UAE-Kuwait: Brothers Forever’ week.
The visit takes place as the ‘UAE-Kuwait: Brothers Forever’ initiative begins, running for a full week across all seven emirates, and aims to highlight the depth of ties between the two Gulf states through joint events that underline shared interests, values, and aspirations for continued development and stability.
During their meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, the UAE President and Sheikh Abdullah reviewed the close, long-established fraternal relations between the UAE and Kuwait, examined ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors, and exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual concern to both leaderships.
The two sides discussed opportunities to broaden joint work in fields that support mutual interests, with a focus on development and prosperity for both countries, while their talks on regional and international issues addressed shared priorities in security, stability, and coordination within wider multilateral frameworks in the Gulf and beyond.
Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to His Highness the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, along with the Emir’s wishes for ongoing progress and prosperity for the UAE, reflecting the importance Kuwait places on the relationship with the UAE leadership.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, in turn, congratulated Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Kuwait’s national celebrations, and passed on wishes for the Emir’s continued health and happiness, as well as further advancement and prosperity for Kuwait and its people under the Emir’s leadership during this national occasion.
