The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced its participation in the International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) Global Coalition for Social Justice for workers. This announcement was made during the 112th International Labour Conference held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Coalition aims to create a voluntary platform that supports efforts towards solidarity and enhances cooperation among its member states. It also seeks to coordinate global development policies and support greater investments towards advancing social justice and providing decent work opportunities.

The announcement was made during a meeting between Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Gilbert F. Houngbo, Director-General of the ILO. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Conference.
