H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met Lavinia Valbonesi Noboa, First Lady of the Republic of Ecuador, during the World Economic Forum in Davos. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the UAE and Ecuador and examined broader opportunities for collaboration on development, culture and the economy.

The discussion formed part of the UAE’s wider engagement at the World Economic Forum, where global leaders and senior officials examine international economic trends. The UAE delegation used the platform to exchange views on long-term partnerships that support balanced growth, knowledge sharing and institutional cooperation across different regions.

During the talks, H.H. Sheikha Latifa underlined the UAE’s commitment to deeper dialogue with countries worldwide. H.H. The meeting also reaffirmed support for joint initiatives that promote sustainable development and help reinforce economic and social stability.

The agenda covered sustainable growth strategies, community empowerment and innovation. Both sides discussed how successful international experiences in capacity-building and policy design could inform national programmes. Particular attention was given to the role of culture as a driver of comprehensive development, linking heritage, creativity and economic activity within broader development frameworks.

The meeting was attended by Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary General of the UAE Cabinet; Huda Al Hashimi, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs; Saeed Mohammad Al Eter, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Projects and Chair of the UAE Government Media Office; and senior officials from both delegations.

Participants also reviewed how international platforms, especially the World Economic Forum, support constructive dialogue between nations. They noted that such gatherings help identify new partnership opportunities, expand areas of cooperation and encourage balanced development. The discussions pointed to shared interests in stability at regional and global levels, supported by steady institutional and cultural collaboration.
