UAE Cybersecurity Council Updates Hazza Bin Zayed On AI And Cybersecurity Initiatives

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan met a delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council at Al Maqam Palace, underlining federal attention to digital security. Discussions focused on strengthening cybersecurity, supporting artificial intelligence projects, and ensuring a trusted environment for companies and institutions, particularly in Al Ain Region, as the UAE economy deepens its reliance on advanced digital infrastructure and data driven services.

The delegation, led by Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, briefed H.H. Sheikh Hazza on ongoing programmes that aim to reinforce national cyber defences and protect critical systems. They outlined how enhanced cybersecurity standards and AI tools are being deployed to support business continuity, reduce digital risk, and align with global technology trends influencing trade, finance, and public services.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza reviewed the UAE Cybersecurity Council strategy to expand the CyberE71 Incubator Programme, described as the main national platform for entrepreneurship in cybersecurity. The plan includes welcoming projects from school and university students, along with entrepreneurs in Al Ain Region, to encourage new cyber solutions that can support both public institutions and private sector organisations.

The CyberE71 Incubator Programme places strong emphasis on building skills and encouraging research focused products. It aims to provide an enabling environment where start-ups and innovators can work on advanced applications that help protect cyberspace. These tools are expected to support the wider digital economy and complement the UAE’s broader investments in connectivity and smart services.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that developing cybersecurity talent across the country is essential for effective defence of national networks. Strengthening skills should, in H.H. Sheikh Hazza’s view, help safeguard commercial activity, raise productivity, and support the UAE’s shift towards a knowledge and innovation based economy driven by secure digital platforms.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza also underlined the need for stronger cybersecurity awareness among individuals, companies, and government entities. Such awareness is seen as critical to counter digital and cyber threats, protect national gains, and align with future national plans in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, supporting sustainable growth across strategic sectors including energy, logistics, finance, and services.

The UAE Cybersecurity Council delegation thanked H.H. Sheikh Hazza for the meeting, saying it reflects H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s close oversight of priority sectors and continued backing for national cybersecurity initiatives in Al Ain Region and the wider emirate. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the meeting, which highlighted the link between digital readiness, regional development, and long term economic competitiveness.
