TRENDS Research and Advisory is set to broaden its global reach by establishing new offices in major cities worldwide. This move aims to solidify its status as a prominent international think tank and enhance its connections with research, academic, and political bodies. The initiative includes various research and dialogue activities planned in countries like Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and Russia.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of TRENDS, shared insights into this strategic expansion during a media briefing themed "TRENDS in October: Expanding its Knowledge Presence Across Continents." He stressed the significance of TRENDS' presence in key global decision-making centres. The Washington office's opening, scheduled for early next year at a global conference, marks a pivotal moment for TRENDS.

TRENDS Opens New Offices Worldwide

Dr. Al Ali explained that the Washington office launch aligns with TRENDS’ vision to foster dialogue with U.S. research and academic entities while contributing to global knowledge exchange. This office will support TRENDS’ headquarters in Abu Dhabi alongside other international offices. The new offices in Washington, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Berlin, and Moscow will focus on analysing political, economic, and social dynamics within their regions.

The Washington office will play a crucial role in enhancing partnerships between the U.S. and the Middle East through strategic analysis. Bilal Saab, Senior Managing Director of the Washington Office and Head of TRENDS’ U.S.-Middle East Practice, highlighted the importance of this development. He stated that the office would specialise in political, defence, and security matters between these regions.

Awadh Al-Breiki, Senior Researcher and Head of TRENDS Global Sector, announced plans for an office in São Paulo to strengthen TRENDS' influence globally. This expansion supports the Centre’s headquarters by bringing it closer to significant global areas. Additionally, TRENDS will be a Diamond Sponsor at the Brazil-Africa Forum 2024.

During the forum on October 15 in São Paulo, TRENDS will host a symposium titled "Sustainable Prosperity: A Governance Approach to Boosting Investment in African Infrastructure."
