Trends At Davos 2026: TRENDS Expands Global Dialogue Through World Economic Forum Participation
TRENDS Research & Advisory is preparing a broad programme for the World Economic Forum in Davos 2026, where the organisation appears for the third consecutive year. The Centre plans to use the meeting to deepen its role in global policy discussions, link Middle Eastern perspectives with other regions, and share analysis on economic, political, and technological shifts influencing long-term stability.
Across several days in Davos, the TRENDS delegation intends to join high-level meetings and expert panels that look at strategic challenges and new risks. The agenda is designed to promote dialogue between governments, companies, and research institutions, and to present evidence-based studies that support sustainable growth, regional security, and practical cooperation across advanced, emerging, and developing markets.

On Tuesday, 20 January 2026, TRENDS will open the first Europe-Middle East Strategic Dialogue at the Davos Lodge. The forum will gather senior policymakers, leading corporate executives, and international specialists to discuss digital trust, economic resilience, and long-term partnerships. Participants will examine how both regions can manage global volatility while supporting inclusive development and cross-border investment.
The same day, TRENDS will also use its virtual office in Switzerland to run a World Economic Forum session titled From Agreements to Outcomes: The Abraham Accords and the Path to Peace and Prosperity. This discussion will review how regional peace agreements shape political ties, trade flows, and investment trends, and how political understandings may become concrete development projects and cross-border business initiatives.
TRENDS’ programme continues on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, when the delegation, led by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, joins a closed discussion titled Global Transformations – Opportunities in Advanced Markets. The meeting is hosted at Davos Platz by Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organisation, and will focus on economic shifts and investment prospects.
The delegation is also due to attend a select reception with Eric Trump and a group of international decision-makers. This event will provide space for confidential exchanges on global strategic issues, market expectations, and risk factors. It is expected to help reinforce TRENDS’ access to senior circles and increase the visibility of its analytical work among policymakers and corporate leaders.
World Economic Forum Davos 2026 and TRENDS Research & Advisory artificial intelligence focus
Artificial intelligence and innovation policy form another core element of the Davos 2026 schedule. TRENDS will organise a session titled Responsible Innovation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, which will address AI governance, digital inclusion, and fairness in access to new technologies. Speakers will look at how AI can support equitable growth while avoiding deeper digital divides between regions and communities.
The AI session aims to highlight regulatory and ethical choices that influence trust in advanced technologies, especially within Europe and the Middle East. It is planned to link technical debates with wider economic and social outcomes, including labour markets, skills, and infrastructure. The discussion will also contribute to global efforts to define shared standards for safe, responsible, and inclusive innovation.

Commenting on these plans, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali stated that "TRENDS’ continued presence at Davos for the third consecutive year reflects the Center’s firm commitment to strengthening its role as an independent and influential research institution on major global platforms, and to contributing forward-looking perspectives on economic, political, and technological challenges shaping today’s world."
Dr. Al-Ali explained that the Davos 2026 programme gives particular weight to building lasting digital and knowledge links between Europe and the Middle East. The agenda is designed to encourage strategic dialogue that supports stability and economic growth, while treating artificial intelligence as a driver for responsible innovation and broad-based development that benefits varied societies.
Dr. Al-Ali also underlined that joining the closed-door meeting hosted by Eric Trump forms part of a wider exchange on global economic changes and opportunities in advanced markets. The initiative, together with the Europe-Middle East Strategic Dialogue and the AI governance session, supports TRENDS’ strategic vision of advancing intellectual and cultural diplomacy, promoting evidence-based policymaking, and working towards a more balanced and sustainable global order.
