An exclusive photography exhibition by Patrick Zachmann, a renowned French photojournalist and member of Magnum Photos Agency, was a central feature of the event. It showcased the intricate process of heritage restoration through immersive Virtual Reality (VR) experiences and captivating holographic displays. This allowed attendees to virtually step into the heart of restoration efforts and witness firsthand the transformation of heritage sites. Notably, the exhibition presented a world premiere by testing holographic technology on the restoration of an archaeological artefact, marking a significant breakthrough in heritage and restoration research.

Professor Nathalie Martial Braz, Vice Chancellor of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, highlighted the global importance of this event within SUAD's research institute at the heritage centre. She stated that it underscores SUAD's crucial role in advancing research for heritage preservation on a global scale, bringing curated content to the local community. By integrating Archaeometry techniques and establishing partnerships with technological experts, SUAD's researchers have made significant strides in heritage preservation research.

Dr. Delphine Syvilay, Assistant Professor in the Sciences and Engineering Department at SUAD and organizer of the event, emphasized the unique multi-dimensional and multi-sensory nature of the Notre Dame exhibition. Through Zachmann's lens, visitors were able to closely follow the meticulous reconstruction process of Notre Dame. The use of VR and holograms provided an immersive journey through time, offering access to unseen corners of the cathedral.
