Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award Pavilion Welcomes Delegation Of Accredited Ambassadors
The Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award pavilion at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, recently hosted a group of 30 ambassadors from various Arab and foreign countries accredited to the UAE. This event coincided with the 54th Eid Al Etihad celebrations and was organised in collaboration with the Emirates Blood Donation Society.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Agricultural Club, and Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi, Deputy Director-General for Regulatory and Administrative Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, were present. They were joined by members of the Award’s Higher Committee and other officials.

Mouza Al Muhairi welcomed the delegation, emphasising that their visit aligned with the Eid Al Etihad celebrations. She noted that hosting the event at the Sheikh Zayed Festival pavilion symbolises both heritage and future aspirations. The Award aims to honour a remarkable national journey rooted in unity and cooperation.
The delegation explored models of agricultural innovation, cultural exhibits, and programmes designed to advance agricultural and animal wealth sectors in the UAE. They learned about efforts to stimulate innovation in plant and animal agriculture to boost competitiveness and support sustainable economic growth.
Dr. Ali Al Ansari, Chairman of the Emirates Blood Donation Society, congratulated UAE leadership on this occasion. He praised ambassador participation, highlighting their commitment to initiatives promoting solidarity and humanitarian work. Their presence underscores strong human relations.
The Award's fourth cycle this year has expanded its prize value to AED10 million. This increase aims to drive sustainability and innovation within plant and animal agriculture sectors. The initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Encouraging Sustainable Practices
The delegation received an overview of the Award’s four main categories in its current edition, covering essential agricultural sector components. They also visited festivals accompanying the Award, including the Al Wathba Honey Festival held at the pavilion.
Representatives explained how smart solutions are adopted to boost productivity, improve crop quality, conserve resources, and ensure sustainability for future generations. The Award honours outstanding farmers and livestock breeders for enhancing agricultural sustainability and food security.
In closing remarks, delegates commended the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award as a pivotal platform for advancing agriculture in the UAE. They acknowledged its role in encouraging farmers to enhance production quality while promoting sustainable practices that meet food security needs.
