Sharjah Unveils Comprehensive Programme For UAE’s 53rd Union Day Celebrations From November 21 To December 2

The Sharjah Union Day Celebrations Committee has unveiled its plans for the UAE's 53rd National Day, known as Eid Al Etihad. This event is a chance for UAE residents to reaffirm their loyalty to the nation and its leadership. All seven emirates will unite in celebration, showcasing solidarity and pride in the country's achievements.

Sharjah will host various events from November 21 to December 2, highlighting the UAE's accomplishments and cultural heritage. These celebrations will take place at key cultural and tourist sites across the emirate. Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Union Day Celebrations Committee, expressed gratitude to Sharjah's Executive Council for organising these festivities.

Sharjah Reveals UAE’s 53rd Union Day Events

Al Midfa emphasised the importance of Union Day in reinforcing national identity and promoting tolerance. He stated: "Union Day (Eid Al Etihad) reaffirms ‘our national identity as a truly global country that champions the value of tolerance." The anniversary serves as an opportunity to pledge loyalty to the nation and its leadership while enhancing the UAE's global standing.

From November 21 to December 2, Sharjah National Park will host artistic performances, competitions, and educational workshops. Government departments and local authorities will participate in these events. In Al Dhaid City, a national march on November 27 will start at the Grand Mosque and end at Al Dhaid Fort, featuring government entities and school students.

In Al Bataeh Area, celebrations from November 28 to 30 will focus on heritage and national identity. Activities include a traditional folk parade with participation from government agencies, local residents, schools, and arts groups. Horse parades and classic car displays will also be featured alongside folklore performances.

Mleiha will kick off its activities on November 21 with a national march at Heritage Village. The day includes folklore performances, a play, competitions, and a communal dinner. A special heritage area will showcase Bedouin tents and offer local families space to display their products for free.

Festivities in Kalba

Kalba's celebrations from November 23 to 25 include a national march, Kalba Operetta, classic car parade, traditional games, and sports activities. Wadi Al Helo will host folk performances on November 24 along with poetry sessions and awards ceremonies.

Khorfakkan’s events from November 22 to 24 at Khorfakkan Amphitheater include art workshops for children and traditional performances. The programme starts with the national anthem followed by poetry recitals and school performances. A musical folk performance concludes these festivities.

Diverse Events Across Other Areas

Dibba Al Hisn will hold events on November 23 starting with a public march at 4:00 pm followed by folklore performances. The national operetta continues after Maghrib prayer with poetry readings. In Al Madam on November 22, there will be heritage performances alongside children's activities.

Al Hamriyah’s celebrations occur on November 27-28 at Beach Park and Creek. Events begin with the national anthem followed by a march under 'A Nation’s Journey' theme. Traditional segments include artistic displays while interactive workshops engage children.

The celebrations across Sharjah reflect unity among citizens while honouring cultural traditions. These events provide opportunities for community engagement through diverse activities that highlight both heritage and modern achievements of the UAE.
