Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), this year's festival attracted top retailers, entrepreneurs, and small business owners. Discounts reached up to 75 percent on products from local and international brands. The event generated approximately half a billion dirhams in sales, marking a 25 percent growth compared to 2024.

The festival saw a surge in visitors flocking to Sharjah's major shopping centres, reinforcing its status as a key destination for shopping, entertainment, and tourism. The first two days of Eid Al-Fitr experienced heightened footfall due to strong consumer interest in retail offers and prize draws. Attendees eagerly participated in raffle draws for valuable prizes and giveaways.

Leading destinations, hotels, and tourist attractions introduced numerous lucrative offers and promotional packages. This further enhanced the festival's economic impact. Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, highlighted the festival's role as a significant economic initiative launched over three decades ago by the Chamber.

"As a key driver of the retail sector’s growth in the emirate," said Al Awadi, "the festival has firmly established itself as an annual event that injects exceptional vibrancy into Sharjah’s commercial and tourism landscape during the holy month of Ramadan." He emphasised that it aligns with the Chamber’s vision of creating sustainable economic stimuli.

Jamal Saeed Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communication at SCCI and General Coordinator of the festival, noted its role beyond commerce. It fosters social cohesion through inclusive activities engaging all age groups. The festival also promotes cultural heritage by showcasing UAE traditions and values.

Cultural Significance

The event commenced on 22nd February and concluded on 31st March. It witnessed strong visitor turnout who engaged with exclusive promotions, shopping vouchers, and exciting giveaways. Bouzanjal stated that it serves as an ideal platform for strengthening community bonds while preserving cultural heritage.

The Sharjah Ramadan Festival continues to be a vital part of Ramadan in Sharjah each year. Its diverse offerings create an immersive experience that aligns with the spirit of Ramadan while supporting local businesses.
