Sharjah Police And Civil Defense Control Fire In Industrial Area 10 Without Injuries
A fire broke out on Friday morning at a used auto parts sales location in Sharjah's Industrial Area 10. The blaze was quickly brought under control with no injuries reported, thanks to the combined efforts of Sharjah Police, Sharjah Civil Defense, and other relevant authorities. Their swift response ensured the situation was managed effectively.
Brigadier General Omar Al Ghazal, who leads the Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Team, highlighted the rapid and professional response by specialised teams. A comprehensive field team coordinated closely with relevant agencies to contain the fire swiftly, achieving this without any human casualties.

Brigadier Saeed Obaid Al Suwaidi from Sharjah Civil Defense noted that emergency teams arrived at the scene just eight minutes after receiving the alert. This quick action was crucial in controlling the fire promptly. It demonstrated their preparedness and effective coordination with other authorities involved in managing such incidents.
Al Suwaidi emphasised that public safety was a top priority from the beginning. Evacuation procedures and site security were conducted following strict safety protocols. Nearby gas lines were shut off as a precaution during firefighting efforts, in collaboration with the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority.
Efforts are ongoing to assess the damage extent in coordination with Sharjah Police. A technical investigation is also underway to determine how the incident started and gather detailed information about it. These steps are essential to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Brigadier Al Ghazal mentioned that cooling procedures are being carried out by Sharjah Civil Defense teams to prevent any potential flare-ups. This measure ensures continued safety for both people and property in the surrounding area.
Collaborative Efforts Highlighted
The cooperation between various entities was praised by Sharjah Police. They expressed gratitude towards Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain Civil Defense authorities, Sharjah Municipality, National Ambulance, Al Marwan Company, and others for their active involvement. This collaboration underscores the readiness of emergency systems and highlights joint institutional efforts to protect public safety.
"Ensuring public safety was our foremost concern," stated Brigadier Al Suwaidi. "All appropriate precautions were implemented to safeguard workers and individuals present at the scene."
The incident reflects how integrated efforts among different organisations can effectively manage emergencies while prioritising community safety. Such coordination is vital for maintaining a robust emergency response system capable of handling crises efficiently.
