Sharjah Executive Council Amplifies Efforts Against Farm Violations

In a significant move to bolster government operations and service development, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), presided over the Council's meeting on Tuesday. The session took place in the office of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, also in attendance.

The meeting's agenda was comprehensive, focusing on enhancing government work policies and the continuous development of government services. This initiative is in response to the rapid growth observed in Sharjah's vital sectors. A key topic of discussion was the first report from the Committee for Removing Encroachments on Farms in the City of Sharjah. This report shed light on the Committee’s diligent efforts in identifying and addressing violations and encroachments that negatively impact environmental, health, and security standards.

Among the critical issues addressed were sub-leasing violations and unauthorized commercial activities. The Council emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts and fostering coordination between local and federal authorities to rectify these issues. Furthermore, discussions extended to updates on economic legislation and commercial activities aimed at promoting economic diversification within the emirate.
