Sharjah Crown Prince Approves Digital Integration Programme To Enhance Government Efficiency And Services
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, highlighted the swift progress made by government departments in Sharjah towards digital transformation. This initiative aims to enhance the emirate's role in serving humanity. His remarks were made during a visit to the Sharjah Digital Department (SDD) on Wednesday, where he was joined by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
The visit aimed to evaluate the SDD's readiness to spearhead Sharjah's digital future. The Crown Prince commended the efforts of teams and specialists working to strengthen the digital sector within the government. During this visit, he approved the Sharjah Digital Integration Programme and its executive plan, which is crucial for creating an interconnected digital system that boosts governmental efficiency and improves customer experience.
The programme is built around a strategy focused on "Human-Centric Digital Creativity." It includes over 50 digital initiatives that mark a significant shift in Sharjah's digital landscape. A key component is a digital cooperation charter essential for integrating government entities with the SDD. This approach aims to redefine digital operations beyond traditional models, focusing on practical outcomes and clear roles.
The programme was developed using a collaborative methodology involving more than 250 representatives from government bodies, public sectors, and private enterprises. It seeks to align with state directions while emphasizing Sharjah's unique vision. The strategy aims to create tangible impacts through its success factors, reflecting real-world needs.
During his visit, Sheikh Sultan was accompanied by several key figures including Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General of SDD; Asmaa Rashid bin Tali'a, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Executive Council; Engineer Lamya Obaid Al Hosan Al Shamsi, SDD Director; and Ahmed Hamad Al Suwaidi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Sharjah.
The programme's participatory development process involved collaboration across various sectors to ensure comprehensive integration. This initiative underscores the emirate's commitment to advancing its digital infrastructure in line with global trends while maintaining its distinct identity.
