Joud 2026 Ramadan Campaign By Sharjah Charity International Aims AED 150 Million

Sharjah Charity International has launched its Ramadan campaign "Joud 2026," targeting AED150 million in donations. The campaign plans to support more than two million people inside and outside the UAE. The announcement also included a new mobile app on Apple’s App Store and Google Play to manage donations and services.

From the AED150 million target, AED71 million is set for Ramadan programmes. Planned initiatives include 1.3 million iftar meals in the UAE and overseas, Ramadan food baskets for 25,000 registered beneficiaries, Zakat Al Fitr for 35,000 people, and Eid clothing for 3,000 beneficiaries. Additional allocations will support medical, debt, and housing cases.

Joud 2026 Ramadan Goal: AED 150 Million

Board member Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi stated that Sharjah Charity International has completed 100 percent digital transformation. This covers all administrative procedures and donation channels, in line with official directions to expand electronic services and improve efficiency. The new app supports these goals by allowing donors and beneficiaries to access services remotely.

Al Suwaidi explained that the application includes advanced tools, most notably an AI-powered smart assistant. The assistant helps users obtain information quickly and interact easily with the platform. The in-house IT team at the association designed and developed the application. The smart assistant carries the name "Ahmed," based on guidance from Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.

The association detailed several specific allocations within the wider campaign, covering humanitarian needs during and beyond Ramadan. These include medical treatment, debt relief and housing assistance, along with mobile iftar programmes in different countries. The main funding components of "Joud 2026" are shown below.

The campaign and app were launched during a press conference at the House of Wisdom. Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Charity International, and Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General of the Sharjah Digital Department, attended alongside board members, senior officials and local media representatives.

Executive Director Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem said the "Joud 2026" campaign combines fundraising with expanded digital access. The initiative aims to support vulnerable families, patients and people facing debt or housing pressure in the UAE and abroad. The plan reflects wider efforts in Sharjah to link charitable work with modern digital tools.
