SCCI And MoHRE Collaborate To Enhance Emiratisation Efforts In The Private Sector

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) partnered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) to host a workshop on the UAE's Emiratisation programme. This event aimed to engage key private sector companies in Sharjah, encouraging them to form strategic alliances and benefit from the programme by recruiting local talent.

During the workshop, attendees were given a comprehensive overview of the Emiratisation programme, highlighting its strategic goals. The focus was on the private sector's vital role in achieving these objectives. MoHRE detailed the benefits and incentives available to companies that support Emirati employment, reinforcing its dedication to enhancing national human capital.

Workshop to Boost Emiratisation in Private Sector

The workshop highlighted the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors in nurturing national talent. The Ministry stressed using all resources to boost UAE nationals' involvement in private-sector jobs, fostering an environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

MoHRE emphasised the Nafis programme's crucial role in boosting Emirati talent competitiveness. This initiative supports institutions in meeting Emiratisation targets, showing a strong commitment to creating opportunities for Emirati workforce success and growth.

The Sharjah Chamber reiterated its dedication to making the Emiratisation programme successful. It underscored the need for collaboration between private and public sectors, highlighting its partnership with MoHRE. The Chamber aims to mobilise resources for a promising future for upcoming generations.

The Chamber plays a leading role in promoting Emiratisation within the private sector through innovative initiatives. One such initiative is the Sharjah Gulf Emiratisation Award, part of the Sharjah Excellence Award, which encourages sustainable employment practices among private companies.

Encouraging Entrepreneurial Participation

The Sharjah Chamber is also committed to increasing participation from Emirati entrepreneurs and SME owners in its exhibitions. It actively promotes these businesses to utilise training programmes and institutional frameworks to advance Emiratisation goals.

Private company representatives were briefed on the UAE government's aim to increase Emiratisation rates by 2% annually, reaching 10% by 2026. The session reviewed progress towards 2024 targets and outlined goals for the year's final quarter.

Nafis Programme Support

The workshop explored Nafis programme achievements, highlighting its significant role in supporting private sector Emiratisation efforts. Designed to enhance Emirati talent competitiveness, it offers services like recruitment specialist deployment, registration assistance on Nafis platform, candidate recommendations, and open recruitment days.

The Sharjah Chamber remains committed to ensuring that future generations benefit from these initiatives. By fostering strategic partnerships and leveraging available resources, they aim to build a brighter future for national talent within the workforce.
