Sharjah Chamber Unveils New Tijarah 101 Branch To Empower SMEs In Khorfakkan
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has recently inaugurated a new branch of the Small and Medium Enterprises Centre, known as "Tijarah 101", in Khorfakkan city. This strategic move is part of SCCI's ongoing efforts to support and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among young business owners throughout Sharjah, encouraging them to partake in the emirate's commercial and economic activities. The initiative also aims at bolstering emiratisation and localisation efforts, providing Emirati citizens with more job opportunities in the private sector.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of notable figures including Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, SCCI Chairman, alongside Omar Khalifa Bin Hareb Al Shamsi, Executive Council Member of Sharjah and Chairman of the Department of Human Resources, and Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan City. The event was marked by a walkthrough of the new centre, showcasing its facilities and services designed to cater to entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The "Tijarah 101" branch is equipped with commercial office spaces, meeting rooms, and offers a wide array of consultancy services covering marketing, administration, and legal aspects. Additionally, it provides media coverage and advertising-related services along with specialised training programs aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs towards achieving business success.
Abdullah Sultan Al Owais highlighted that this initiative aligns with the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, focusing on youth empowerment through strategic initiatives. "Tijarah 101" was launched by the Sharjah Chamber in 2019 with the mission to support entrepreneurial ambitions and assist in transforming innovative ideas into successful ventures.
During the ceremony, Al Owais handed over keys to commercial offices to entrepreneurs and project owners in Khorfakkan city. The event also featured a documentary video that outlined the centre's achievements, key activities, and services available to its members and local businesses.
Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi expressed his confidence in the new centre's potential to enhance Khorfakkan's business ecosystem. He praised the enthusiasm shown by members and affiliate entrepreneurs who visited the new branch, eager to utilize its services.
Mona Omran Ali, Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Centre (Tijarah 101) at SCCI, noted the active engagement of the centre's members. Their participation in events organised by the Sharjah Chamber has significantly contributed to advancing their businesses and ventures.
This expansion of "Tijarah 101" into Khorfakkan underscores SCCI’s dedication to fostering a supportive environment for young entrepreneurs across Sharjah. It reflects a broader commitment to economic development and job creation within the emirate, aligning with national goals for emiratisation and localisation in the workforce.
