Present were committee members Mohammed Saleh Al Ali, Hamad Abdullah Al Riyami, Rashid Saleh Al Hammadi, and Obaid Ishaq Al Mazmi. Also attending were Yousef Hassan Al Ali, the Council's Legal Advisor and Director of Parliamentary Affairs, and Saif bin Suwaif Al Ketbi, Secretary.

SCC Discusses Draft Laws for Military and Police

During their discussions, the committee examined the articles related to military human resources. The aim was to ensure that these regulations serve the public interest of those employed in this sector. The draft law was initially brought to attention during a previous council meeting.

The committee also reviewed provisions concerning police and security force reorganisation. This included discussions on enhancing systems and instructions to improve security operations. The goal is to align these improvements with Sharjah's future vision for its security framework.

Emphasising the importance of these draft laws, the committee highlighted their role in meeting military and security sector needs. They stressed creating a legal framework that supports professional excellence while considering future challenges faced by these sectors.

The Public Utilities Committee referred the draft law on reorganising police and security forces to this committee. This referral was part of an ongoing effort to refine regulations governing these critical areas within Sharjah.

Final Preparations

As their meeting concluded, the committee prepared a final report on both draft laws. This report is set for submission to the SCC and will be included in the agenda for an upcoming meeting. The aim is to ensure comprehensive discussion and eventual implementation of these laws.
