Mining Investment Partnerships Expand As Saudi Industry Minister Leads FMF Meetings
Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held several high-level meetings on the sidelines of the fifth Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh, focusing on wider mining cooperation, joint investments, industrial integration and supply-chain resilience aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
These discussions involved ministers and senior officials from Qatar, Morocco, Chile and Canada, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s aim to build international partnerships across the mining value chain, support mineral exploration, and improve access to key markets while using the Future Minerals Forum as a platform for policy and investment dialogue.

Alkhorayef met Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Canada Claude Guay, where both sides reviewed the expanding Saudi-Canadian collaboration in the mining sector, noting that Canadian companies currently lead in securing mineral exploration licences in the Kingdom and examining cooperation in technology and specialised financing solutions.
As part of efforts to deepen engagement with South American producers, Alkhorayef also held talks with Minister of Mining of the Republic of Chile Aurora Williams, where they considered prospects for new mineral exploration projects, ways to advance joint work in the mining sector, and mechanisms for developing shared investments and technical knowledge exchange.

During the Future Minerals Forum, Alkhorayef discussed with Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the State of Qatar Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Sayed how to strengthen bilateral cooperation in industry and mineral resources and support industrial integration pathways between the two countries.
Alkhorayef also met Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco Dr. Leila Benali, where both sides addressed expanding mining partnerships, identifying new cooperation areas and improving the reach of Saudi exports into African markets, using Morocco’s position as a gateway to the continent.
Through these Future Minerals Forum engagements, Saudi Arabia signals continued interest in building long-term mining sector alliances, attracting international investors, diversifying suppliers for raw materials, and linking regional industrial strategies with the wider goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and global supply-chain stability.
