Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Attends DUPHAT 2025 And Launches New Pharmaceutical College In Dubai
H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, attended the 30th Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT 2025). This event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, saw participation from over 101 countries. DUPHAT is a key event in the pharmaceutical sector, offering a platform for showcasing innovations in pharmacy, technology, and medicine.
During his visit, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan toured various country pavilions. He was accompanied by Ambassador Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, Roving Ambassador of the Parliamentary Assembly of Mediterranean (PAM) for the GCC Region. His Highness engaged with officials to discuss advanced medical technologies' role in enhancing community safety.
A significant highlight was the launch of DUPHAT Pharmaceutical College. This new institution aims to advance pharmaceutical science and research. Established through collaboration between Abdulsalam AlMadani Global Education Centre and UCAM University in Spain, it offers diverse programmes such as doctorate degrees, master's degrees, diplomas, executive programs, and specialised courses.
Khaled Al Attar, Director General of the Abdulsalam AlMadani Global Education Centre, remarked on this development: "Launching DUPHAT Pharmaceutical College represents a significant strategic step towards advancing pharmaceutical education and scientific research in the region. This collaboration between the Abdulsalam AlMadani Global Education Center and UCAM University in Spain enables us to provide advanced academic programmes tailored to the needs of the modern pharmaceutical industry. Our vision is for this college to serve as a platform for training new generations of innovative pharmacists who will shape the future of healthcare both regionally and globally."
DUPHAT 2025 features approximately 1,400 exhibiting companies with 155 specialised speakers delivering 130 scientific sessions and nine professional workshops. University students contribute by presenting 400 scientific posters on recent medical research and innovations. Participants can earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours accredited by various international organisations.
This year's edition also introduces "VitaShow Dubai," focusing on dietary supplement innovations. It gathers over 275 brands from global companies aiming to enhance nutrient-enriched product production and distribution. The demand for products like vitamins, botanical extracts, functional foods and beverages is growing rapidly.
International Collaboration
The event is organised annually by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions Org. LLC., supported by the Dubai Health Authority. It is accredited by leading organisations such as the American Pharmacists Association and European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (ESCP). Prominent participating countries include Poland, China, and Turkiye.
The pavilions showcase exceptional displays that foster international commercial collaboration while promoting cultural exchange among participants worldwide. These displays highlight each country's progress in pharmaceutical innovations.
