RESOLVE 2024 Concludes With Key Discussions On Resilience In Dispute Resolution
The RESOLVE 2024 event, hosted by ADGM Courts and the ADGM Dispute Resolution Hearing Centre, concluded during Abu Dhabi Finance Week. It brought together global leaders from the dispute resolution community, industry, and government. Organised by ADGM with partners like the UAE Ministry of Justice and LexisNexis, it focused on resilience in legal frameworks.
RESOLVE's third edition centred on 'Resilience', offering a platform for global leaders to share stories and ideas. Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, UAE's Minister of Justice, highlighted the UAE's commitment to a sustainable economy through robust legal systems. He emphasised Abu Dhabi's role as a leader in innovation and resilience.

A popular session was the panel on Class Actions for Societal Harm – The Silicon Valley Backlash. It explored the growing legal challenges faced by "Big Tech" companies due to class action lawsuits alleging societal harm. Experts discussed the balance between innovation and consumer protection in this evolving landscape.
The panel on Navigating the AI Legal Frontier, led by Amir Ghavi from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, examined AI's evolution. Discussions focused on regulatory measures being developed globally and in the UAE to harness AI for economic growth while ensuring safety.
Attendees also engaged in discussions on Restructuring and Insolvency in Complex Times and The Climate Conundrum - The Uncertain Road Ahead. Notable speakers included Tim L'Estrange FCIA, Katrina Buckley from A&O Shearman, Nicky Reader from Clifford Chance, Troy Brown from Morgan Lewis, Jamie Levy from ADIO, and Duncan Miller from 7 Wentworth Selborne Chambers.
