Oman And UAE Strengthen Bilateral Trade And Investment Ties At Advantage Oman Forum 2025
The UAE and Oman have seen a rise in non-oil trade, reflecting their robust bilateral relations. Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, highlighted that these ties are crucial for achieving development goals and fostering economic growth. His remarks were made during his visit to Muscat for the 'Advantage Oman Forum 2025', which focuses on future investment opportunities in emerging sectors.
Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi emphasised Oman's status as the UAE's second-largest trading partner within the GCC. In 2024, non-oil trade between the two nations reached AED56.2 billion (US$15.3 billion), marking a 9.8% increase from 2023 and a 32.4% rise compared to 2020. This growth underscores the strength of their strategic partnership aimed at prosperity and sustainable development.

During his visit, Dr Al Zeyoudi met with Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman's Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, along with other senior officials. These meetings served as a platform to exchange ideas on enhancing bilateral ties and exploring mutually beneficial cooperation areas between the two countries.
The 'Advantage Oman Forum 2025', organised by Oman's Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, delved into global investment trends and promising sector opportunities. The forum aimed to highlight potential avenues for growth and collaboration in various emerging industries.
Dr Al Zeyoudi stressed that UAE-Oman relations exemplify how neighbouring countries can form strategic partnerships to achieve shared prosperity and sustainable development goals.
