NWC Completes Major Water And Environmental Projects Worth SAR 210 Million In Al-Kharj And Al-Sulayel

The National Water Company (NWC) has finalised three significant water and sanitation projects in the Riyadh Region's Al-Kharj and Al-Sulayel governorates. These initiatives involved constructing over 119 kilometres of lines and networks, with costs surpassing SAR210 million. The projects aim to improve water distribution, reduce environmental impact, and support water security and sustainability.

In Al-Kharj, NWC completed the sixth phase of sewage lines and networks, which span 47.5 kilometres. The expansion of the lifting station now allows for a capacity exceeding 57,000 cubic meters daily. This development cost over SAR131 million and will benefit districts such as Al-Worood, Al-Fursan, Al-Aaliya, and Al-Asamiya.

NWC Completes SAR 210 Million Water Projects

Additionally, NWC installed eight water networks connecting existing lines to desalinated water sources. This project covers nearly three kilometres and aims to enhance services in districts like Al-Jawhara, Al-Muhammadiyah, and others. The total expenditure for this initiative exceeded SAR4.4 million.

In the Al-Sulayel governorate, NWC completed the first phase of sewage networks covering 68.5 kilometres. A lifting station was also constructed with a daily capacity of approximately 30,000 cubic meters. This project required an investment of SAR75 million.

NWC stated that these efforts are part of its ongoing strategy to boost operational efficiency in the water and environmental sectors. The company is committed to adhering to high standards of quality and performance while contributing to Saudi Vision 2030's objectives.

The company emphasised its dedication to executing strategic plans that align with environmental sustainability goals. By enhancing the water distribution system, NWC aims to minimise environmental impact while ensuring reliable access to water resources.
