UAE's National Bonds And Knowledge Fund Kickstart Financial Literacy With Young Investor Programme
National Bonds, in collaboration with the Knowledge Fund Establishment, has officially launched "The Young Investor" programme, a pioneering initiative designed to advance financial literacy among young students in the UAE. This initiative, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East, was introduced in February and aims to embed essential financial knowledge from an early age.
The programme inaugural workshop was held at Knowledge Fund Establishment, bringing together representatives from National Bonds, Knowledge Fund, alongside educators from the participating schools. This event marked the commencement of the first phase of the initiative, which is being rolled out in three "Dubai Schools" managed by Taaleem.

Targeting students in Grades 5 and 6, "The Young Investor" programme is structured around six comprehensive modules. These modules cover a wide range of financial concepts, including money management, financial planning, different payment methods, understanding loans and debts, as well as insights into savings and investments, and Takaful insurance protection plans.
Rehab Lootah, Deputy Group CEO of National Bonds, highlighted the program's alignment with the government's vision for educational excellence in Dubai. "Our collaboration with Knowledge Fund Establishment is a significant step towards enhancing financial literacy amongst the youth. The launch in three schools underscores our dedication to equipping young students with crucial financial skills, supporting their journey to becoming future entrepreneurs. The feedback from the recent workshop is instrumental for a successful program rollout, emphasizing our commitment to leading financial literacy initiatives in the region," Lootah stated.
Ohood Al Ichlah, Director of Strategic Planning and Educational Initiatives at Knowledge Fund Establishment, expressed enthusiasm for the programme's first phase. "The kick-off workshop was essential for a smooth launch of 'The Young Investor' programme in the upcoming academic year. Our partnership with National Bonds Corporation is pivotal in developing our students' financial literacy from an early age," Al Ichlah remarked.
Rebecca Gray, Chief Education Officer at Taaleem, also shared her excitement about the programme's potential impact. "As part of the Dubai Schools, 'The Young Investor' programme is set to provide a deep and impactful learning experience across all grades. By integrating essential financial skills early on, we aim to prepare the next generation for future financial challenges, empowering them with the knowledge and tools needed for informed financial decisions," Gray explained.
The launch event signifies the beginning of a project intended to expand and create a broader impact in future phases. National Bonds and Knowledge Fund Establishment plan to extend "The Young Investor" programme to more schools across the UAE, aiming to cultivate a culture of financial responsibility and independence from a young age throughout the region.
