NAS Obstacle Challenge Race Launches This Thursday At Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex
The Obstacle Challenge Race (OCR) is set to begin on Thursday as part of the 12th 'Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament'. This annual event, held during Ramadan at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, is the largest of its kind and operates under the theme "Limitless Capabilities". Participants must complete a 400-metre course with eleven obstacles within five minutes.
Competitors in the OCR face disqualification if they bypass any obstacle. Each participant can only attempt an obstacle twice before incurring a time penalty if unsuccessful. The race features two categories: Open for men and Open for women. UAE citizens and residents are eligible to compete, with the top 20 fastest men and women advancing to the finals.

Meanwhile, preparations for the Wheelchair Basketball Championship are underway. The Organising Committee recently conducted the draw ceremony for this event, which will take place at the Dubai Club for People of Determination. This championship is another highlight of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament.
The second day of group stage matches in the Nad Al Sheba Padel Championship saw Saudi Arabia edge out Australia 2-1 in a thrilling encounter. Australia initially took the lead with Dominic Bechard and Marius Zilba defeating Qassim Obaidan and Nawaf Al Qadi 6-3, 6-4. However, Saudi Arabia levelled through Faisal Al Rabdi and Abdul Rahman Al Zam's victory over Tim Brown and Ross Taylor 6-3, 7-6.
The decisive match was intensely contested, with Sattam Al Shahrani and Hussein Al Maraj securing a hard-fought win against Vuk Veljkovic and Jono Breki, finishing 5-7, 6-4, 7-6. In other matches, the Netherlands triumphed over Kuwait with a score of 2-1, while Iran achieved a clean sweep against Bahrain, winning 3-0.
