Moroccan Minister Of Higher Education Commends Khalifa Award’s Role In Advancing Global Education

Morocco's Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdul Latif Al-Mirawi, has expressed pride in the robust collaboration between educational institutions in the UAE and Morocco. He highlighted that these ties reflect the unique historical relationship between the two nations, which continues to thrive across various sectors.

During a reception for a delegation from the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education at his office in Rabat, Minister Al-Mirawi praised the award's significant role in enhancing education locally, regionally, and internationally through its forward-thinking initiatives. The delegation included Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Amal Al Afeefi, Dr. Suad Al Suwaidi, Dr. Khalid Al Abri, and Hamid Ibrahim.

Minister Al-Mirawi Praises Khalifa Award's Impact

Al Dhaheri noted that since its inception in 2007, the Khalifa Award has enriched educational environments in the UAE and beyond by fostering a culture of excellence. The award recognises outstanding contributions from teachers, university professors, and community organisations.

Amal Al Afeefi acknowledged Morocco's participation and success in various editions of the award. She expressed gratitude for Minister Al-Mirawi's support in promoting awareness of the award's categories for its upcoming 18th session in 2024-2025.

Dr. Suad Al Suwaidi presented details about the current session's fields with an emphasis on Higher Education. This category celebrates notable contributions by university professors and researchers. Other fields include Educational Research, Educational Authorship for Children, and Innovative Educational Projects.

Dr. Khalid Al Abri emphasised that the award offers diverse categories inviting educators to showcase creative initiatives that can serve as models within education. Hamid Ibrahim highlighted the integration of advanced technology and AI in education as crucial for evaluating candidates' projects.

Recognition and Future Prospects

The meeting concluded with the delegation presenting an award shield to Minister Al-Mirawi to appreciate his efforts in supporting their journey. They encouraged participants to adopt innovative technologies aligning with evolving educational needs.
