MoHRE Highlights Contributions Of Emirati Professionals In Private Sector During GEMS Visit

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, the UAE's Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, praised the contributions of Emiratis in the private sector. He emphasised their role in enhancing the nation's leadership and competitiveness. During a visit to GEMS Dubai American Academy, he met with over 80 UAE citizens employed there, part of more than 790 working across 44 establishments within GEMS Education Group.

Al Awar highlighted the private sector's strategic partnership with the government in nurturing Emirati talent. He stressed the importance of continuous engagement with Emiratis in this sector to understand their experiences and challenges. This approach aims to support job stability and career development for Emirati professionals.

MoHRE Celebrates Emirati Workforce at GEMS

The Minister commended GEMS Education for its proactive role in achieving Emiratisation targets. He noted that private education is a priority sector under this mandate. The efforts align with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to meet national targets for Emiratisation.

During his visit, Al Awar was accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE). They were welcomed by Dino Varkey, Group CEO; Jay Varkey, Deputy CEO; and Fatima Alshamsi, Head of Emiratisation at GEMS Education Group.

Al Awar urged Emirati employees to continue developing their skills and contribute proactively to their roles. He praised GEMS Education for providing a stable work environment and supporting the UAE’s ambitious vision through its commitment to Emiratisation.

The Ministry continues to strengthen partnerships with companies committed to meeting Emiratisation goals. This includes organising site visits and highlighting these establishments' roles in advancing government initiatives.

Nurturing Future Talent

The collaboration between the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Ministry of Higher Education focuses on developing advanced academic programmes. These initiatives aim to equip new generations of Emirati talent with skills needed for evolving labour market demands.
