M.O.D UAE Continues To Dominate At Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship Day Two
The Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship – Round 4 (Gi) saw M.O.D UAE maintain its leading position at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah. Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club took second place, while Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club secured third. The event attracted around 850 male and female competitors from various clubs and academies across the UAE.
Competitions for the Boys U14 and U16 categories are scheduled for tomorrow. The championship's second day was attended by notable figures including Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

Yousef Abdullah Al Batran commented on the young athletes' performances: "Today, we witnessed impressive performances from the young athletes, who demonstrated remarkable determination in a sport that requires both physical strength and a high level of skill. This reflects their talent and the success of our efforts to promote the sport among younger age groups."
He further noted that these competitions highlighted children's determination to win and earn points for their clubs. They are learning jiu-jitsu values along with life skills like patience and self-confidence. Sheikha Al Kaabi also expressed her delight in attending the event and crowning champions, stating that jiu-jitsu is becoming a household sport in the UAE.
Sheikha Al Kaabi remarked on jiu-jitsu's growing popularity among children and families: "Jiu-jitsu has become a part of every household in the UAE and are increasingly popular among children and families. We are confident that the future holds even greater success for Emirati jiu-jitsu athletes."
Ibrahim Al Hosani, Technical Director at Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, praised his club's strong presence with 135 athletes participating. He highlighted their exceptional performance, noting their precision and skill as evidence of successful training efforts by clubs and academies.
Athletes' Achievements Celebrated
Ibrahim Al Hosani added: "Our club had a strong presence today, with 135 male and female athletes from our team, all of whom performed exceptionally. The level of talent displayed by these young athletes at such an early age is remarkable. Their precision, skill, and execution are outstanding, reflecting the efforts of our clubs and academies."
Fadi Bouri expressed his excitement over his son Ameer Bouri's gold medal win in the Kids 2 white belt category. He thanked the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation for organizing events that help children excel early on: "I am thrilled with Amir's achievement. We look forward to achieving great results in the upcoming championships."
The championship continues to foster young talent in jiu-jitsu across various age groups within the UAE. With continued support from clubs and federations, these events pave pathways for aspiring athletes towards professionalism.
