Ministry Of Finance Achieves Three Excellence In Procurement & Supply Awards 2025 For Innovative Practices

The Ministry of Finance has secured three prestigious awards from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) for 2025. These accolades highlight the Ministry's exceptional practices in procurement and supply chain management within the government's digital procurement framework. The recognition underscores the Ministry's dedication to modernising workflows, adopting top-tier procurement standards, and integrating sustainability into government operations.

Competing against various entities from the MENA region and globally, the Ministry's success enhances confidence in federal policies and systems. This achievement affirms their alignment with innovative global standards and strong international competitiveness. Mariam Mohammed Hassan Al Amiri, Assistant Under-Secretary of Government Finance Management at the Ministry, accepted the awards on behalf of the institution.

Ministry of Finance Wins Three Procurement Awards

Mariam Mohammed Hassan Al Amiri stated that winning these awards reflects the Ministry's commitment to fostering a modern organisational environment prioritising integration and innovation. "The Ministry of Finance's teams have worked relentlessly to turn strategic objectives into actionable initiatives," she said. This effort has resulted in an efficient procurement system that optimises spending and ensures value for money.

She further noted, "CIPS Awards are among the most prestigious global honours in the field, and winning three of them reaffirms that our approach to strengthening our global position through transparency and sustainability is paying off. We will continue to develop the capabilities of our teams and expand institutional partnerships to improve wise procurement practices and leverage them as a strategic tool to support sustainable development."

The Ministry was honoured with several titles, including "Overall Winner," recognising outstanding excellence in procurement and supply chain management. This category evaluates criteria such as advanced digital systems, AI applications, e-procurement platforms, forward-looking policies, sustainability standards, governance practices, and responsible public fund usage.

The CIPS award showcases the Ministry’s integrated approach to procurement, its dedication to digital governance, and its success in aligning strategies across federal entities. Additionally, they received the Best Collaborative Teamwork Project award for initiatives achieved through effective role distribution and cross-functional cooperation.
