Ministry Of Culture Engages With UAE Journalists Association To Enhance Cultural Initiatives
The Ministry of Culture recently welcomed a delegation from the Emirates Journalists Association at its Abu Dhabi headquarters. This gathering aimed to explore joint efforts to enhance cultural initiatives and emphasise the importance of both tangible and intangible heritage in fortifying the UAE’s national identity.
Mubarak Al Nakhi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, greeted the delegation led by Fadila Abdullah Al Muaini, Chairperson of the UAE Journalists Association. The group included board members Mohamed Al Tunaiji and Hasan Omran. Discussions revolved around how both organisations could collaborate to support various ministry programmes and initiatives.

The meeting highlighted the significance of strengthening cooperation between the two parties. They focused on promoting the UAE’s cultural efforts on regional and international stages. Emphasis was placed on sustaining cultural and creative industries while nurturing local talent.

The ministry's successful initiatives have also contributed to the UAE's election to UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage for 2024-2028.
