MBZUH Elevates Global Humanities Research With Innovative Initiatives
Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities (MBZUH) is making significant strides in establishing itself as a premier global hub for humanities studies. The university has recently made headlines with the publication of 46 academic papers, demonstrating its leadership in humanities research. This achievement not only showcases the university's robust research capabilities but also its commitment to advancing knowledge in the field.
In a move to further bolster its research and academic prowess, MBZUH has developed three specialized databases accessible to researchers worldwide. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive resource pool to support high-quality research endeavors. Additionally, the university has awarded eight research grants to its qualified faculty members. These grants are intended for studies and training programmes that will elevate the university's research standards in the humanities.

MBZUH is also focusing on enhancing the research skills of its staff and students through a series of targeted training programmes. These include workshops on academic research, writing research theses, and research documentation, led by specialists in the field. A notable project, "Science Buds," is set to improve students' and researchers' theoretical and practical research capabilities by pairing them with academic mentors.
Another key component of MBZUH's strategy is the "An Hour with the Editor" session, designed to offer personalized scientific and academic support. The university is also facilitating student participation in international conferences and exchange programmes with prestigious institutions abroad, further enriching their academic experience.
MBZUH's commitment to research excellence is further evidenced by its publication of three books on research presented at international conferences it hosted. Additionally, the university has launched the second edition of the Sheikh Zayed Intelligence Award, celebrating outstanding academic research in the humanities. The "Promising Researchers" award has also been introduced to encourage students' engagement in academic research.
Dr. Maria Al-Hattali, Director of the Research Support Department at MBZUH, highlighted the training programmes' objectives. She emphasized their role in enhancing the university's research programmes, fostering creative topic selection among students, and guiding them towards successful completion of their research projects.
Through these comprehensive initiatives, MBZUH is reinforcing its position as a leading institution for humanities studies. By supporting its faculty and students with resources, training, and recognition, the university is contributing significantly to the advancement of humanities research on a global scale.
