MBRSC Hosts NASA’s Moon To Mars Architecture Workshop In Dubai For Global Space Leaders

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) recently hosted a significant event, NASA’s Moon to Mars Architecture Workshop, at Dubai's Etihad Museum on February 25 and 26. This gathering brought together global space leaders to discuss the future of human space exploration. Representatives from major space agencies like NASA, ESA, CNES, and JAXA participated, highlighting the UAE’s strategic role in fostering collaboration in space science and technology.

During the two-day workshop, participants engaged in strategic sessions focused on foundational exploration capabilities. Discussions covered lunar mobility, power infrastructure, and logistics for upcoming missions. NASA shared updates on the Architecture Concept Review, showcasing recent advancements and identifying areas for future collaboration.

The workshop aimed to advance partnerships for peaceful space exploration and guide humanity’s journey from lunar expeditions to sustainable Mars exploration. High-level discussions, roundtables, and technical sessions allowed participants to align strategies, address capability gaps, and explore partnership opportunities in deep space exploration.

Amer AlSayegh AlGhaferi and Adnan AlRais represented MBRSC in key discussions alongside global experts. Their participation underscored the UAE's commitment to shaping human space exploration through strategic global partnerships. The discussions reinforced the importance of global alignment and shared expertise in achieving humanity’s long-term ambitions beyond Earth.

Adnan AlRais stated that hosting this NASA workshop reaffirms MBRSC's dedication to advancing human space exploration through strategic partnerships. He emphasized that the UAE will continue playing a pivotal role by working closely with international space agencies to accelerate progress toward sustainable lunar and Martian exploration.

Dr. Lori Glaze from NASA expressed gratitude for MBRSC's hospitality. She noted that the workshop facilitated fruitful discussions among nations passionate about a shared future in space. "We look forward to continuing these dialogues in the months and years to come," she added.

The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment from all participating agencies to strengthen cooperation. They aim to drive forward joint initiatives that will enhance mission readiness, technological capabilities, and scientific research for future missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
