The final quarter of 2025 marked a busy phase for Majra – National CSR Fund, highlighted by the Social Impact Summit 2025 in Abu Dhabi under the theme "Unifying Collective Good for the UAE". The summit gathered government, private sector, academia, non-profits, youth leaders, and people of determination, aiming to coordinate national efforts and guide community contributions toward shared-value projects of strategic importance.

During the Social Impact Summit 2025, Majra – National CSR Fund unveiled several national initiatives with private and academic partners. The "Sustainable Healthy Living" project targets lifestyle changes, chronic disease prevention, and stronger public health outcomes. Majra also introduced the National Autism Platform, the first of its kind in the UAE, with the Emirates Autism Society, to support people on the autism spectrum and standardise professional services nationwide.

Majra 2025 sustainability and health initiatives

Across the fourth quarter of 2025, Majra – National CSR Fund reported a broad portfolio of achievements that reinforced its federal leadership role in corporate social responsibility and the wider sustainable impact economy in the UAE. These developments helped consolidate the country’s position as a global reference point for coordinated multi-sector cooperation, focused on shared value and measurable, long-term environmental, social, and economic outcomes.

Majra – National CSR Fund continued to refine its governance during the same period. The Board of Trustees held its second meeting of 2025 and reviewed key agenda items and strategic performance indicators. Members restated the Fund’s commitment to embedding corporate social responsibility practices across the UAE and directing private sector resources toward high-impact initiatives aligned with national priorities, community empowerment, knowledge, innovation, and improved quality of life.

Supporting the national economy and entrepreneurship ecosystem, Majra – National CSR Fund launched "Marfa’a Majra 50" during the fourth quarter. The programme was developed with the Ma’an Authority and the Jood Platform, under the Ministry of Economy and Tourism. It is designed for entrepreneurs, startups, and small and medium-sized enterprises, offering an integrated training studio, practical learning tools, and direct links between promising ideas and investment opportunities.

The "Marfa’a Majra 50" initiative by Majra – National CSR Fund aims to convert innovation into scalable ventures that also benefit society. Participants receive structured capacity-building support, financial literacy guidance, and access to potential funders. The design of the programme connects social impact ambitions with economic value creation, reinforcing the UAE’s broader efforts to build a resilient, knowledge-based and opportunity-rich enterprise landscape.

Majra National CSR Fund environmental action and CSR ecosystem

Environmental responsibility remained a central theme for Majra – National CSR Fund during the quarter. On the sidelines of the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi, Majra signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Emirates Nature–WWF, in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature. This partnership supports environmental sustainability under the UAE’s "Year of Community" and seeks to mobilise youth, businesses, and local communities for lasting environmental gains.

Through the Emirates Nature–WWF agreement, Majra – National CSR Fund is promoting cross-sector collaboration on environmental programmes. The partnership aims to empower Emirati youth, deepen private sector engagement, and encourage community participation in projects that reduce environmental pressures. The initiative underlines the link between environmental outcomes, social responsibility, and systemic, long-term change across the UAE’s sustainability and conservation agenda.

Majra National CSR Fund agreements and CSR ecosystem development

The fourth quarter also featured several strategic agreements that reinforced the UAE’s CSR ecosystem under the guidance of Majra – National CSR Fund. One key agreement was with Jood – Dubai Community Contributions Establishment, focused on strengthening national partnerships and channelling community contributions toward initiatives with measurable social and economic value. Additional agreements supported the impact + Platform in Abu Dhabi and expanded financial literacy programmes for school students.

Majra – National CSR Fund further advanced work on waste segregation at source, signing agreements to introduce such systems in selected areas. These arrangements seek to support a circular economy, reduce waste-related environmental harm, and normalise sustainable practices in everyday community life. Internationally, Majra finalised knowledge and expertise exchange agreements with RBT Collective, The Waste Lab, and AVPN, aligning global best practices with UAE-specific needs.

Through these combined efforts, Majra – National CSR Fund is refining a federal model based on co-designed initiatives with core stakeholders, technical validation from relevant ministries, and financing from the private sector, with implementation led by third- and fourth-sector organisations. This integrated approach aligns community contributions with national strategies and continues to strengthen the UAE’s position as a reference point for corporate social responsibility and the sustainable impact economy.
