Korean Delegation Learns About DEWA's Innovations In Renewable Energy Projects
A delegation from Korea's energy sector visited Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to learn about its advancements in clean and renewable energy. The group, led by Sung Soo Kim Su, Senior Vice President of the Global Sae-A Group, explored DEWA's Sustainability and Innovation Centre and the Research and Development (R&D) Centre at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
The solar park is recognised as the world's largest single-site solar facility using the Independent Power Producer model. It aims to generate over 5,000 megawatts by 2030. During their visit, Korean officials were briefed on DEWA's Green Hydrogen project, which is pioneering in the Middle East and North Africa for producing hydrogen using solar power.

The Green Hydrogen project utilises renewable energy to produce hydrogen through water electrolysis. This initiative can store hydrogen for up to 12 hours and is designed for future applications in energy production and mobility. The project serves as a testing platform for various hydrogen uses.
At the Sustainability and Innovation Centre, officials highlighted its role as a global hub for innovation in clean energy. The centre offers visitors an opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies in renewable energy, showcasing DEWA's commitment to sustainable development.
The Korean delegation expressed admiration for DEWA’s achievements in innovation and research within the renewable energy sector. They acknowledged DEWA’s efforts in advancing clean energy solutions and its role as a leader in sustainable practices.
DEWA’s initiatives reflect its dedication to fostering innovation in clean energy technologies. By sharing its expertise with international partners, DEWA continues to contribute significantly to global sustainability goals.
