Set to begin pilot courses in the first half of this year at the University of Sharjah, the KSIC aims to bridge cultural gaps and promote Korean language and culture in the MENA region. With plans to expand its offerings and establish local connections, the institute is poised to become a pivotal hub for cultural exchange and education.

The courses offered by KSIC will cover Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels, catering to a wide range of students looking to enhance their language skills and cultural understanding. Furthermore, the institute will focus on training translators and developing industry-specific textbooks to meet the diverse needs of professionals in tourism, education, business, finance, and real estate.

Sheikh Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi emphasized the role of DGR in advancing international cooperation through cultural exchange. He highlighted that such initiatives align with Sharjah's vision to serve as a platform for dialogue and understanding between cultures. The KSIC is expected to offer unique learning opportunities that not only deepen knowledge of Korean language and culture but also enhance global competitiveness.

Lee Hai Young expressed gratitude for establishing the regional headquarters in Sharjah, recognizing it as an opportunity to strengthen ties between South Korea and the UAE. He emphasized the importance of language as a tool for reflecting on the world and fostering deeper mutual understanding.

The opening ceremony featured performances that showcased traditional Korean music alongside modern K-pop routines, symbolizing the dynamic cultural exchange between South Korea and the UAE. The event culminated in an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a new chapter in educational and cultural relations between the two regions.

This strategic move by Sharjah to host the KSIC headquarters not only enhances its position as a cultural capital but also opens up new avenues for educational excellence and international collaboration in the MENA region.
