Kalimat Group And Nestlé UAE Launch 'A World Of Stories' Initiative To Enhance Children's Reading Experience

Kalimat Group has partnered with Nestlé UAE, supported by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, to launch "A World of Stories." This initiative aims to set up 120 libraries in children's wards and play areas across hospitals in the UAE. The goal is to empower children and promote knowledge even in difficult situations.

The initiative stems from a Memorandum of Understanding between Kalimat and Nestlé. It addresses the need for enriching environments in medical facilities for children. The libraries will offer diverse educational content that encourages reading and exploration while easing the impact of medical experiences.

Kalimat Group Launches Reading Initiative for Children

Each library will contain 30 books, totalling 3,600 books across all locations. These books cover topics like healthy nutrition, recognising hunger cues, immunity, daily habits, and stories promoting positive thinking. Digital tablets with interactive content will also be provided to enhance learning.

Ahmad Al Ali, General Manager of Kalimat Group, stated that this initiative aligns with their vision to empower children through education. He said, "At Kalimat, we believe that books are true companions to children on their journey of healing and growth. Through our ongoing initiatives, we strive to provide educational and human-centred content that helps children overcome adversity and supports their mental and emotional well-being through reading and learning."

This project exemplifies social innovation through collaboration between cultural and private sectors. It supports national efforts to create an integrated educational environment within hospitals. The initiative highlights the role of reading in improving life quality and aiding children's psychological recovery.

The MoU was signed by Ahmad Al Ali from Kalimat Group and Hassan Atia from Nestlé UAE. This partnership integrates culture with mental health in community-based child initiatives. It underscores the importance of providing stimulating environments for children undergoing medical treatment.

This initiative not only reinforces the significance of reading but also contributes to enhancing children's quality of life during challenging times. By combining cultural resources with healthcare settings, it aims to support children's mental health through education.
