Jewels Of Emirates Show 2026 In Sharjah Concludes With Strong Visitor Turnout
The seventh Jewels of Emirates Show closed in Sharjah with strong visitor turnout over five days, drawing thousands of buyers and enthusiasts. The 2026 edition gathered more than 180 jewellery makers and over 500 brands, underlining Sharjah’s role as a regional hub for gold, diamonds, gemstones, pearls, and high-end watches.
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the event hosted exhibitors from across the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. Pavilions from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Singapore, Thailand, India, and Pakistan highlighted the show’s expanding international base and trade reach.

A major feature this year was the debut of the "Luxury Pavilion", an exclusive area for premium jewellery houses and bespoke design studios. This zone focused on investment-grade jewellery, advanced craftsmanship, and limited collections. Visitors viewed one-of-a-kind pieces set with high-carat gemstones, along with Swiss and global luxury watches featuring complex mechanisms and diamond-set casings.
Key product highlights included custom-made royal bridal sets aimed at high-profile occasions, with white diamonds, pearls, and coloured stones in exclusive arrangements. Rare coloured diamonds in pink and yellow shades formed a central attraction for collectors seeking long-term assets. Displays also featured natural Gulf pearls, recognised for their large sizes and the distinctive "Al Jiwan" shine.
The Emirati Goldsmiths Platform, a flagship SCCI initiative, reported a 10% rise in registered Emirati women jewellery designers at Jewels of Emirates Show 2026. The Platform sought to strengthen the commercial profile of Emirati jewellery and deepen support for local creative talent, while giving participants direct exposure to regional and international buyers.
Emirati designers showed strong presence through heritage-inspired gold pieces and exclusive collections showcased under the "Emirati Goldsmiths" banner. Their work focused on detailed craftsmanship and artistic design rooted in local culture. Audiences responded to the blend of traditional motifs and modern styling, reflecting a growing market interest in locally designed fine jewellery.
Jewels of Emirates Show strategic role and economic positioning
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, stated that "the Jewels of Emirates Show has evolved into a strategic platform within Sharjah’s portfolio of trade events and exhibitions that reinforce the emirate’s knowledge-driven economic framework." The event is positioned as part of a wider plan to build a diversified, skills-based economy.
Al Owais added that the Sharjah Chamber remains focused on creating an integrated business environment for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the creative sectors, in line with the UAE Centennial vision. The exhibition, according to Al Owais, helps young national talents strengthen their competitiveness in precious metals and gemstones through market access and visibility.
Jewels of Emirates Show management outlook and design innovation
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said that "the 7th Jewels of Emirates Show established new benchmarks in the exhibition’s histroy through the launch of the "Luxury Pavilion," expanding global knowledge partnerships, and strengthening the positioning of distinctive gemstones within the jewellery design value chain." Al Midfa linked these developments to broader sector growth.
Al Midfa noted that the show met its long-term goals by combining commercial expansion with design-led innovation and ongoing backing for creative industries. This balance supported both direct sales and brand building for participants, while cementing Sharjah’s status as a regional meeting point for jewellery professionals, manufacturers, designers, and traders.
Jewels of Emirates Show platform role and new collections
Mona Al Suwaidi, Director of the Executive Office of SCCI’s Chairman and in charge of the Emirati Goldsmiths Platform, stated that participation in the Jewels of Emirates Show "serves as the Platform’s key annual strategic showcase." The Platform used the event to highlight talent pipelines and generate market feedback for Emirati designers.
Al Suwaidi noted that exhibition featured "the launch of exclusive collections that combine cultural heritage motifs with contemporary design frameworks, leveraging traditional craftsmanship alongside advanced technological manufacturing techniques." This approach aimed to keep Emirati jewellery competitive in terms of both design language and production quality, while retaining strong cultural references.
Jewels of Emirates Show pearls exhibition and cultural programmes
The Jewels of Emirates Show 2026 also hosted the second Sharjah Pearls Exhibition, created to revive the UAE’s historic pearl diving legacy. Organised in partnership with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the exhibition combined education and heritage, emphasising natural pearls as a key element of the UAE’s economic history and cultural identity.
Sharjah Pearl Evenings formed a central knowledge platform within the show. Global experts discussed current standards for pearl grading and classification, while heritage storytelling sessions revisited traditional pearl diving and trading routes. These narratives drew on documented accounts of Emirati diving journeys and the social impact of the historical pearling trade.
The pearls programme also offered live workshops that demonstrated traditional crafts such as pearl drilling and stringing with original-style tools. A special session presented a real-life inspirational pearl diving experience. Alongside this, visitors could explore the Encyclopedia of Traditional Jewellery, compiled by an Emirati researcher over nine years to document local artisanal and craft practices.
Jewels of Emirates Show international participation and event activities
Italian participation reached its highest level in the Jewels of Emirates Show’s history, with 36 exhibitors representing leading Italian jewellery houses. Their presence supported wider cross-border collaboration in design and manufacturing, and broadened the range of contemporary gold, diamond, and gemstone collections available to regional trade buyers and retail visitors.
The exhibition programme included a variety of events, competitions, and large prize draws, which increased visitor engagement and time spent at the venue. Pavilions rolled out exclusive offers and price-focused promotions across modern jewellery lines and gemstone products, contributing to stronger commercial performance for many participating brands and retailers.
Jewels of Emirates Show overview and sector impact
Across its five-day run, the seventh Jewels of Emirates Show combined trade, culture, and education under one platform.
