Jewels Of Emirates Show 2023 Opens In Sharjah Featuring Over 160 Exhibitors And Unique Designs
Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Authority, inaugurated the sixth Jewels of Emirates Show. This event, supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), features over 160 exhibitors and 500 jewellery brands. Attendees can explore diamond, gold, and silver collections alongside gemstones, pearls, and luxury watches.
The exhibition highlights Emirati jewellery designers who present their artistic creations. Sheikh Khaled toured various pavilions to view the latest collections from local and international brands. He visited the "Emirati Goldsmiths" Platform and the "Sharjah Pearls" pavilion, meeting designers showcasing unique pieces that blend modern innovation with Emirati heritage.

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais emphasised SCCI's commitment to supporting Emirati entrepreneurs in the jewellery industry. The "Emirati Goldsmiths" Platform is a key initiative aimed at nurturing young talents. It provides emerging designers with opportunities to showcase their work and connect with industry leaders for knowledge exchange.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa noted the exhibition's success as a sign of growth in Sharjah's jewellery sector. This growth is driven by consumer awareness of top brands and a preference for signature pieces crafted by renowned designers known for quality.
Mona Sultan Al Suwaidi announced the launch of the "Sharjah Pearls" Exhibition within this year's show. Organised under the "Emirati Goldsmiths" Platform in collaboration with "Suwaidi Pearls," it showcases rare natural pearl pieces distinguished by exceptional quality and clarity.
The exhibition will feature a panel discussion titled "The UAE: The Coast of Pearls Through the Ages." This session will explore how UAE coasts historically supplied premium-quality pearls globally, influencing the pearl trade.
Global Participation
The Jewels of Emirates Show attracts top brands and designers from countries like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Singapore, Thailand, Russia, Turkey, Pakistan, India, and Italy. Designers compete to display their opulent collections made from premium materials such as diamonds and gold.
Emirati designers are making a significant impact with pieces that reflect UAE's cultural heritage while incorporating contemporary design elements. This reinforces the country's status as a leading hub for jewellery.
The show runs on Wednesdays through Sundays with varying hours. Visitors have chances to win prizes like shopping vouchers and pure gold through on-site competitions held during the event.
