HPE And AMD Unveil New 'Saudi Made' Servers To Boost Digital Transformation In Saudi Arabia
HPE has announced the expansion of the HPE 'Saudi Made' server portfolio with two new HPE ProLiant servers featuring 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ processors, the HPE ProLiant DL365and DL385 Gen11 servers. The launch was celebrated at the alfanar production site in Riyadh where HPE, together with AMD and alfanar, proudly presented the first AMD CPU-powered server to leave the new production line, as part of a new milestone of the 'Saudi Made’ initiative.
The newly introduced HPE ProLiant servers, adorned with the 'Saudi Tech' logo, boast unparalleled security and performance features. They are designed to enhance data analytics and real-time data insight generation. Available in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and the Gulf countries, these servers symbolize HPE's dedication to supporting Saudi Arabia's digital transformation ambitions. This commitment is further evidenced by HPE's investment in local manufacturing, positioning the Kingdom at the forefront of global data-driven economic leaders.

Mohammad Alrehaili, managing director for Middle East at HPE, stated, "We're delighted to celebrate this major milestone together with our partners AMD and alfanar as we further expand our portfolio of 'Saudi Made' servers." He highlighted the rising demand for robust digital infrastructure in the Middle East, fueled by strategic initiatives like Saudi Vision 2030 and technological advancements. Alrehaili underscored the significance of the new server offering, powered by AMD EPYC processors, in meeting these escalating demands by delivering high performance and ensuring stringent data security.
Following their initial success, the addition of the HPE ProLiant DL365 and DL385 Gen11 servers to the 'Saudi Made' lineup broadens customer options. These servers offer scalable, efficient, and highly secure compute capabilities, leveraging the power of 4th and 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ processors. The processors' architecture provides high core counts, significant memory capacity for enhanced analytics, and flexible storage options to accommodate growing workload requirements.
Zaid Ghattas, AMD's general manager for the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa, praised the collaboration with HPE, stating, "AMD EPYC CPUs provide the energy efficiency and performance leadership required to help power the infrastructure that will support Saudi Arabia's comprehensive digital growth strategy." Ghattas expressed AMD's dedication to contributing to the Kingdom's digital expansion and serving customers across the Middle East.
An integral part of this expansion involves new training programs aimed at enhancing the skills of the predominantly female Saudi workforce. These initiatives, spearheaded by HPE and AMD, are designed to spark innovation and expedite the development of the Kingdom's technology ecosystem. Markus Grabmeier, vice president of alfanar Electric, lauded the effort, emphasizing its role in boosting production capabilities and fostering technological expertise and female talent within the Kingdom.
