Hazza Bin Zayed Discusses ACTVET's Vocational Education Initiatives In Al Ain Region

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, recently met with a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET). The meeting took place at the Ruler Representative’s Court in Al Ain Region. Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director-General of ACTVET, led the delegation.

The discussions focused on ACTVET's initiatives and programmes aimed at enhancing technical and professional skills of national talent. These efforts align with both current and future demands of the local labour market. The centre's strategic vision includes expanding Applied Technology Schools and developing academic programmes at Fatima College of Health Sciences, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, and ADVETI.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza highlighted the importance of technical education in fostering innovation and supporting a knowledge-based economy. This aligns with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s vision to empower Emirati youth in sustainable development.

Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi emphasised ACTVET's commitment to advancing technical education across Abu Dhabi. The centre aims to meet local labour market needs by equipping young nationals with essential skills. This involves adopting modern teaching methods, integrating cutting-edge technologies, and attracting top expertise to enhance educational systems.

The meeting also addressed integrating artificial intelligence solutions and expanding evening programmes. H.H. Sheikh Hazza underscored the need for diverse academic offerings that match evolving market needs. Providing students with integrated learning environments is crucial for equipping them with high-quality skills for future readiness.

Dr. Al Shamsi expressed gratitude to the leadership for its support of technical education sectors. He reaffirmed ACTVET's dedication to aligning its programmes with national aspirations and future goals. The centre was established in 2010 to oversee this strategic sector across Abu Dhabi, aiming to prepare national talent effectively.
