Hamdan Bin Mohammed Receives UAE Hot Air Balloon Team For Global Tour Preparation
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, recently met with the UAE Hot Air Balloon Team. The team is preparing to launch a hot air balloon tour under the name of His Highness the President. This tour aims to promote peace and tolerance across various Arab countries and beyond.
The balloon will embark on its journey from Dubai, highlighting the UAE's accomplishments in different fields. This initiative is led by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The tour aims to showcase the nation's achievements globally.
During the meeting at Emirates Towers, Captain Pilot Abdulaziz Nasser Al Mansouri briefed Sheikh Hamdan on the balloon's technical aspects. Captain Al Mansouri serves as the President of the UAE Hot Air Balloon Team. He provided detailed insights into how the balloon operates and its capabilities.
Sheikh Hamdan praised the team for their efforts in promoting the UAE on an international stage. He highlighted that hot air ballooning is a specialised sport, and having an Emirati team leading this initiative is a matter of national pride. The mission's importance was also emphasised as it aims to spread messages of goodwill and harmony.
Captain Abdulaziz Al Mansouri expressed his appreciation for Sheikh Hamdan's unwavering support over more than two decades. During this time, the team has gained international recognition for their achievements in hot air ballooning.
The meeting included other key team members: Captain Hassan Nasser Al Mansouri, Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Khurais, and Rashid Ali Al Alili. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort behind this ambitious project.
