Graphene Enhanced Concrete Consortium Launched To Innovate Sustainable Construction Materials In Abu Dhabi

The Graphene Enhanced Concrete (GEC) Consortium has been launched through a collaboration between Khalifa University of Science and Technology’s Research and Innovation Centre for Graphene and 2D Materials (RIC2D), the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development’s Industrial Development Bureau (DED-IDB), the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC), and the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT). This initiative aims to foster innovation in graphene-enhanced concrete.

During a ceremony at Khalifa University, representatives from all involved parties signed the project charter. The Consortium will ensure that research and development efforts align with Abu Dhabi's legislation and quality standards. This collaboration is part of a broader effort to position Abu Dhabi as a leader in advanced building materials.
