Explore the Future of AI and Technology at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 in Dubai

In Dubai, from 13-17 October, the Dubai World Trade Centre will become a nexus for global technology and AI innovation during GITEX GLOBAL 2025.

This premier event is set to draw over 6,800 technology companies and 2,000 startups from 180 nations, showcasing the latest advancements in AI, biotechnology, quantum computing, semiconductors, and green data centres.

The event underscores the urgency of leveraging AI to solve some of the world's most pressing challenges, with the AI market projected to balloon to $4.8 trillion by 2033, as reported by UNCTAD.

Leading the charge in this technological exposition are industry giants such as Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, and Google, among others. They are joined by pioneering companies like Cerebras and Tenstorrent, showcasing cutting-edge innovations.

This convergence of leading tech firms highlights the global commitment to expanding AI infrastructure and addressing significant societal and environmental issues.

Parallel to GITEX GLOBAL, Expand North Star, hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, is set to run from 12-15 October at Dubai Harbour.

This segment of the event, now in its 10th edition, serves as a platform for 2,000 promising startups to connect with over 1,200 investors managing assets worth $1.1 trillion.

This gathering spotlights the growth and late-stage startups, demonstrating the event's role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship on a global scale.

Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of DWTC and organizer of GITEX globally, emphasized the event's role in propelling sectors like biotech and quantum computing forward. "GITEX GLOBAL 2025 gives new impetus to these transformative technologies, while continuing to being the harbinger of innovation-led progress across industries and global economies," she stated, highlighting the convergence of AI and human ingenuity in tackling global challenges.

This year's GITEX GLOBAL marks a significant milestone in international collaboration, with Brazil stepping in as the Country Partner, leading its most extensive tech delegation ever.

The Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Tech Destination Pakistan, are key partners, showcasing the growing global interest in AI and technology.

New pavilions from Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, and Türkiye, alongside expanded representation from various regions, underscore the event's role in fostering global tech alliances.

Tatiana Riera, COO of ApexBrasil, shares her enthusiasm: "ApexBrasil is excited to be at GITEX GLOBAL and Expand North Star with over 50 incredible startups and innovation hubs. It's a great opportunity to show how Brazil is driving innovation and creating tech solutions for global challenges."

With investments in global data centres predicted to surpass $500 billion by 2025, GITEX welcomes significant players like O'Leary Ventures, embarking on creating the world's largest AI data centre park in Canada.

Paul Palandjian, CEO of O'Leary Ventures, acknowledges the UAE's leadership in technology and AI development, stating, "No other place has the leadership vision, resources and commitment to attract a world-class cohort across every industry."

The event also shines a spotlight on breakthroughs in biotech, with Trevor Martin, CEO of Mammoth Biosciences, discussing the potential of CRISPR technology in curing genetic diseases.

Matt Angle of Paradromics delves into AI's role in neurotech, while South Korean startup HurayPositive presents an AI-powered solution for precision medicine, illustrating the sector's rapid advancements.

GITEX GLOBAL introduces innovations like Tensor's personal robocar and K2's industrial robotics, showcasing the burgeoning market for physical AI.

The event also hosts a quantum computing segment, featuring IBM's Quantum System Two and insights from leaders like Prof. Mark Thompson of PsiQuantum, highlighting the push towards quantum readiness.

In the realm of semiconductors, AMD showcases its high-performance processors, essential for AI workloads and efficient data centres.
