Global Justice, Love & Peace Summit Ends With Declaration Of Peace Charter By Nobel Laureates
The Global Justice, Love & Peace Summit, recognised as the largest peace conference globally, concluded with a significant declaration. Twelve Nobel Laureates unveiled a Peace Charter titled "A Love Letter to Humanity." This charter stresses that genuine peace flourishes through fairness, open dialogue, and a steadfast commitment to justice, love, and freedom.
During the summit's second day, Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance and Co-existence, delivered a keynote address. He stated: "It will be our wisdom that will bring about and strengthen peace among nations and will promote and ensure respect and human rights for everyone. It will be our wisdom that will allow us to resolve conflicts through peaceful means."
Dr Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Chairman of the I am Peacekeeper Movement, announced that the Peace Charter would be presented to the United Nations. The charter's preamble states: "Peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of justice, love, and peace, commit to upholding the principles that foster harmony, progress, and human equality for all. We believe that true peace can only thrive when guided by fairness, open dialogue, and unwavering dedication to justice, love, and freedom."
The 12 Nobel laureates who pledged their support included Abdesattar Ben Moussa from Tunisia (2015), Houcine Abbasi from Tunisia (2015), Jose Manuel Ramos Horta from East Timor (1996), Kailash Satyarthi from India (2014), Lech Walesa from Poland (1983), Leymah Gbowee from Liberia (2011), Mohamed Fadhel Mahfoudh from Tunisia (2015), Prof Mohan Munasinghe from Sri Lanka (2007), Nadia Murad from Iraq (2018), Oscar Arias Sanchez from Costa Rica (1987), Ouided Bouchamaoui from Tunisia (2015), and Dr Shirin Ebadi from Iran (2003).
Sheikh Nahayan highlighted how UAE leaders' wisdom has led to national progress. He remarked on how this wisdom ensures economic prosperity for all in future generations. He added that it would improve living conditions worldwide. He also noted that diversity in culture, economy, and religion should serve as a foundation for mutual respect.
The Peace Charter further emphasised core values such as justice and equality. It called for fairness in dialogue and knowledge empowerment. The right to education was also highlighted alongside leadership qualities like compassion and action.
Seven Human Values for Inner Peace
The charter underscored seven essential human values: Gratitude, Forgiveness, Love, Humility, Giving, Patience & Truth. These are seen as foundational elements for achieving inner peace.
The summit's conclusion marked a significant step towards global harmony. By advocating these principles at an international level through the UN presentation of their charter document titled "A Love Letter To Humanity," they aim to inspire change worldwide.
