Germany And Italy Showcase Largest National Participation At Airport Show 2025 In Dubai With Innovative Aviation Technologies
Germany and Italy are leading participants at the Airport Show 2025, showcasing a wide array of airport and aviation technologies. Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, this event underscores the increasing global cooperation in developing smart and sustainable aviation infrastructure. A total of 47 companies from these two nations are presenting their innovations, highlighting their significant roles in the industry.
The German Pavilion is organised by the German Airport Technology and Equipment association (GATE) with backing from the German government. It features 22 prominent companies such as COBUS, Beumer, Colibri Energy, Ammeraal Beltech, Euroteam Bauchemie, and Forbo Siegling. These firms are displaying technologies that include advanced airfield lighting systems, perimeter security solutions, smart surveillance, and automated airport operations.

The Italian Pavilion is coordinated by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) alongside the Italian Embassy in the UAE and Air Tech Italy. It includes 25 companies like Leonardo, Enav Group, Fibrefence, Datalogic, OCEM Airfield Technology, and EnterMed. These companies offer innovative solutions for airports focusing on efficiency and environmental consciousness. Their offerings range from ground systems to terminal architecture and smart lighting.
Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE, commented on Italy's strategic role in providing integrated aviation solutions globally. He stated that Italian companies are contributing to a forward-looking vision aligning with regional ambitions for greener transport ecosystems. "The presence at the Dubai Airport Show of 25 Italian companies reflects the maturity of Italy’s expertise in the sector," he said.
Kay Barenfanger, President of GATE, expressed that Germany's pavilion serves as a central platform for showcasing advanced technologies. He noted its role in fostering international partnerships and highlighting Germany's reputation as a key player in aerospace. "Organised with the support of the German government," he said.
The Italian participation also emphasises infrastructure design expertise and digital platforms supporting airport operations and air traffic control. This involvement highlights Italy's growing strategic importance in delivering comprehensive aviation solutions worldwide.
Valerio Soldani, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE and Director of ITA in the UAE, remarked on Italy’s increased presence at this year’s show. He noted that aviation technologies are crucial to deepening economic ties with the UAE and GCC region. "From packaging machinery to infrastructure systems," he added.
This exhibition not only showcases technological advancements but also strengthens international relationships within strategic industries like aviation between countries such as Germany, Italy, and those in the Middle East.
