GACA And Boeing Collaborate On Advanced Air Mobility Through New MoU

During a visit to the United States from September 18-19, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), met with Don Ruhmann, Boeing's Chief Aerospace Safety Officer. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in civil aviation and exploring partnership opportunities in advanced air mobility projects within Saudi Arabia.

The discussions led to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between GACA and Boeing in Washington. This agreement aims to explore potential partnerships and investments that support the evaluation and implementation of advanced air mobility in Saudi Arabia. The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and seeks to bolster economic growth between Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Al-Duailej's delegation also visited Boeing's Dreamliner 787 production facility in South Carolina. This visit aimed to enhance cooperation by exchanging expertise, transferring technology, and localising aviation industries. The delegation sought to strengthen strategic relations and technical cooperation with Boeing.

The visit included discussions with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on several key topics. These discussions focused on strengthening strategic relations, enhancing technical cooperation, and exchanging expertise in aviation safety. Additionally, they explored developing training programs for GACA engineers and aviation safety inspectors.
