ADRA Introduces Future Entrepreneurs Permit To Empower Young Business Leaders In Abu Dhabi
The Abu Dhabi Registration and Licensing Authority (ADRA), part of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), has introduced the Future Entrepreneurs permit. This initiative, in partnership with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (SCMC), aims to nurture young entrepreneurs aged four to 18. It provides them with opportunities to gain knowledge and skills through events and exhibitions across Abu Dhabi.
Children involved in this programme can learn essential entrepreneurial skills, preparing them to manage business ventures. The initiative seeks to instil financial awareness, promote innovation, and encourage young people to seize opportunities. By doing so, it supports Abu Dhabi's economic development by motivating youth to engage actively in the business community.

This initiative aligns with broader goals to bolster the entrepreneurial ecosystem, offering diverse business opportunities for various demographics. It enables youth to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams and succeed in future markets. Activities under this initiative include handicrafts, environmental works, design services, gift wrapping, textile printing, retail sales of perfumes and gifts, calligraphy services, non-precious jewellery sales, and more.
Food-related activities such as selling ice cream, dates, confectionery, spices, beverages, olive oil, pickles, fresh fruits and vegetables are also included. However, these require approval from the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
The Little Volunteer programme members participated in launching the Future Entrepreneurs permit during Abu Dhabi Business Week. Their involvement aimed at encouraging young entrepreneurs while cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset. These young volunteers demonstrated dedication and gained valuable experience through practical engagement.
Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri, Executive Director of ADRA, stated: "The launch of the Future Entrepreneurs permit represents one of ADRA’s first steps towards paving the way for new businesses and providing opportunities for Abu Dhabi’s youth with an entrepreneurial spirit who aspire to establish their businesses." He emphasised that this reflects a commitment to promoting entrepreneurship among diverse professional groups.
Vision for a Sustainable Economy
Rym Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of SCMC said: "We are proud to launch the Future Entrepreneurs permit in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Registration and Licensing Authority." She highlighted that this move equips children with essential skills for future endeavours while improving financial literacy among young generations.
Al Falasi also praised the contributions of the Little Volunteer programme participants: "These young volunteers serve as inspiring examples of a promising future." She reiterated SCMC's commitment to supporting initiatives that empower children in line with leadership's vision for a harmonious community.
